About this item
- COLORS BY ANNIE SLOAN: Svenska Blue is a crisp and cool blue-grey Chalk Paint color, evocative of the colors seen throughout Swedish manor houses in the 17th and 18th Century.
- LOVED BY DIYers: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is a unique decorative paint for furniture, cabinets, home décor and paint effects invented in 1990. It is the original and favorite furniture paint loved by thousands of professionals around the world.
- GREAT COVERAGE: This water based high performance Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is 500 milliliters or 16.9 fluid ounces. It covers approximately 70 square feet.
- EASY TO USE: Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Remove loose coats of old paint or lacquer first. Prior to opening the can, ensure you shake it thoroughly. Then open and stir well. If the paint is too thick, add a little water and stir. Always paint a test patch before starting your project. Apply with an Annie Sloan brush. Paint one or two coats. Drying time is approximately 30 minutes, depending on conditions.
- SEALING: Chalk Paint should be sealed with Chalk Paint Wax or Chalk Paint Lacquer to protect and finish. Apply wax using a lint-free cloth or Wax Brush. Work the wax into the Chalk Paint and wipe away the excess before leaving to dry. Lacquer can be applied with a brush or roller.
- MULTIPLE SURFACES: Chalk Paint adheres to most surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, plastic and old painted surfaces etc. You rarely need to sand or prime before painting. You can start with the fun part right away!
- GET CREATIVE: Chalk Paint can be used for many different paint effects. Apply a generous layer and sand back after waxing to achieve a vintage, distressed appearance. Add a little water and apply it thinly for a smooth, contemporary look. Watered down, Chalk Paint can be made into a wash for furniture and floors or used to dye fabric.
